CONTINUING EDUCATION INFORMATION:
Continuing education courses are required for sales associates and brokers who desire to renew their licenses on an active status. Provisional sales associates have a separate and unique post-license requirement and they are not required to complete continuing education. Upon being issued a real estate license, a sales associate or broker is required to complete twenty-one clock hours every three (3) years. Licensees are required to take, each license term, 12 required clock hours consisting of 4 (four) core subjects as determined by the Commission and 9 clock hours consisting of elective subjects. Cooke has three (3) elective courses to choose from.
- 6 Hour Real Estate Financing Today (FIN 094)
- 6 Hour Red Flags Property Inspection (INS 014)
- 6 Hour Introductory to Commercial Real Estate (CRC 002)
The 4 (four) core subjects are listed as follows: (This requirement does not apply to a provisional sales associate.) Please note that a student must take one of each of these four designated courses (see three letter code) during each renewal period.
- Professional Conduct (PSC) - (SEE "Ethics and Real Estate" PSC 081 course below.)
- Fair Housing (FHR) - (SEE "Fair Housing" FHR 097 course below)
- Broker Relationships Act (BRA) - Cooke School presently does not have a course to fit this requirement
- Hot Topic (which will consist of a variety of issues ranging From Code and Rule updates to major industry concerns) (HOT) - (SEE "Environmental Issues" HOT 037 course below OR "Mortgage Fraud and Predatory Lending" HOT 194)

REQUIRED END-OF-COURSE EXAM:
Oklahoma continuing education courses require a final exam and a passing grade is 75%. If the first exam is not passed, retakes are permitted until a 75% is attained.

The continuing education courses below are approved by the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission to satisfy the required CE requirements Letter of Approval. |
